Dissolve Air Flotation (DAF) unit

The Dissolve Air Flotation (DAF) unit clarifies animal wastewater by removing suspended organic material. Pressurized air injected into a patented mixing reactor optimizes air entrainment forming micro bubbles that float the suspended solid particles in the wastewater to the surface. The particles form a layer of sludge on the surface which is skimmed off by a rake assembly. The captured sludge is then transferred by an auger to a collection chamber.

The excellent air to solid ratio optimizes sludge capture ensuring maximum nutrient recovery. The thickened sludge contains exceptionally high percentages of NPK which can be harvested for various uses.

Constructed from 304 stainless steel and other high quality non corrosive components the Dissolve Air Flotation (DAF) unit will provide long life and trouble free operation. Completely automated the Dissolve Air Flotation (DAF) unit can perform as a standalone component or be integrated into any existing system.
